Some love stories are told through photographs.
Others are written into songs.
Nicole and Thiago's has always been both.
Originally from Brazil, they've spent years building a life together in Sydney—one shaped by creativity, connection and a shared love for storytelling. Nicole is a photographer and writer. Thiago is a musician and songwriter. Together, they create from the same place: love.
This session wasn't simply about documenting a couple.
It was about preserving the moments that gave life to Apenas Um.
As Thiago prepared to release his album, we followed the quiet rhythm behind the music—the handwritten lyrics, the guitar in his hands, the conversations between verses, and the way Nicole naturally became part of the creative process. They sang together, laughed together and moved through the afternoon with the ease of two people who have spent years inspiring one another.
Set against the timeless beauty of a historic Vaucluse estate, autumn painted every corner in warm, golden tones. As the light softened, we wandered through the gardens, letting the season become part of the story itself.
And then came sunset.
The sky turned shades of amber and burnt orange as they stood together overlooking Sydney Harbour, their silhouettes framed against the Harbour Bridge. It was one of those rare moments where everything feels still—the music, the light and the people all perfectly in sync.
Looking through these photographs today, it's impossible not to feel that this session became something more than a portrait of two people in love.
It became a portrait of a love song.
A reminder that every piece of art begins with a story.
Apenas Um speaks about two people becoming one.
As we watched Nicole and Thiago create together that autumn afternoon, it became clear that the song wasn't simply inspired by their love story.
It was their love story.
